It's enchanting to
meet you!
Jersey girl born and raised, April-Chrystal Holmes has always defined herself as a storyteller. From a young age, she was drawn to the creative life, with a big imagination and countless stories to tell. Stories have always been her favorite way to explore the world—and the connections that quietly shape our lives.
Her debut novel, Cruel Summer, began the Eras Journey Series with a heartfelt story about friendship, family, growing up, and finding yourself when life does not go according to plan.
Her second novel Invisible String was inspired by the idea that sometimes the most meaningful relationships, moments, and paths in life are guided by threads we can’t always see, but can certainly feel.
April-Chrystal received her master’s degree in history from William Paterson University and her bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey, where she majored in communication studies with minors in marketing and graphic design. While attending undergrad, she studied abroad at the University of Sydney. She also holds 30 credits of coursework in psychology from Drexel University.
April-Chrystal loves her home in Morristown, New Jersey, where she is surrounded by family and friends. When she’s not dreaming up stories, you can usually find her traveling somewhere new with her boyfriend, Kevin, or being lovingly interrupted by her co-workers—I mean dogs—Susie and Thunder, who firmly believe writing should involve treat breaks and time to chase butterflies.
When time allows, April-Chrystal enjoys exploring both near and far, playing field hockey, knitting, reading, and sharing the stories that have been living in her heart.
